Thanks to the way bank holidays fall over Christmas and New Year, many GP surgeries in Scotland will shut for a total of eight days over the festive period, leading to increased waiting times and increased pressure on accident and emergency departments.

But at our private health clinics in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, we’ll be open as much as possible over Christmas and New Year to make sure we’re on hand to help you get quickly back on the road to health.

Christmas and festive opening hours
Like most businesses, we will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and 2 January in both Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

However, unlike a number of health practices, we are open on Sunday 27 December and Sunday 3 January in Edinburgh, and Monday 28 December and Monday 4 January in both Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

So if you need to see a medical specialist urgently over the festive period, we’re on hand to provide a wide range of GP services, including a comprehensive range of vaccinations, tests, assessments and specialist treatments.

Of course, there will be thousands of tourists in Scotland for Christmas and Hogmanay, and as always, we’ll be on hand for all your medical needs, regardless of where you’re from or how long you’re staying.

If you’re visiting Edinburgh or Aberdeen for the holiday season and can’t get to our clinic, we’ll also be happy to visit you either in your home or hotel, as long as you’re within a five-mile radius of our clinics.
