Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian has partnered with independent family jewellers, Laings to celebrate the advent countdown from 1^st -24^th December with the launch of its Afternoon Tea Advent Calendar. Guests enjoying afternoon tea in the glamorous Peacock Alley will have a chance to win one of 24 amazing luxury gifts.

An extremely special collection of gifts has been curated by the hotel and Laings, offering guests the chance to win a selection of indulgent experiences at the hotel, as well as some sparkling treats from Laings. Some of the prizes to be won during the month include:

• A seven-course menu Gourmand for two with paired wines at The Pompadour by Galvin worth £260
• A pair of Laings silver framed cufflinks worth £140
• 60 minute massage at Guerlain Spa worth £150
• A Diamond Masterclass for four people with Richard Laing himself – an exclusive money can’t buy experience

The star prize in the calendar will be revealed on Christmas Eve when the competition concludes, and one lucky guest will win a white gold rubellite and diamond cluster pendant worth over £1000.

The Festive Afternoon Tea offers a selection of Christmas morning scones, as well as savoury bites including turkey and stuffing on a cranberry brioche bun and Fearn Abbey brie with cranberry chutney on a fruit loaf, will be available as part of the afternoon tea package.

Alongside these delicious savoury elements, the afternoon tea also comes with a selection of Waldorf’s most decadent Christmas inspired pastries; from a Christmas pudding dome to a pecan and cranberry tart, all of these festive delicacies are created daily by the hotel’s talented pastry chefs.
