Travel anywhere in Scotland for just 16 pounds return

Posted: 5th January 2016

ScotRail’s Club 50 members can get the New Year off to a flyer, thanks to the launch of a new 16 pound flat fare return ticket.

The ticket, which can be bought from Monday 4 January online, in stations and by phone, allows Club 50 members to travel, off-peak, to any part of Scotland.

The flat fare offer is in addition to twenty percent online, off peak discount that Club 50 members enjoy throughout the year on the ScotRail network.

ScotRail commercial director Cathy Craig said:

“When we launched Club 50 last year, we said that we would be bringing in brilliant benefits like discounted year round travel as well as having great flat fare offers. Over a hundred thousand people signed up and are already reaping the benefits of being a member. Today those benefits just got greater.

“This ticket offer is even better than the deal we offered as part of the old Club 55. I’m sure that thousands of Club 50 members will use it to travel right across Scotland to see family and friends or just to visit a part of the country they have never been to before.

We are investing hundreds of millions of pounds in new trains, providing thousands of extra seats and delivering great benefits to our customers like better on-board catering, at-seat power points and better wifi on our trains. Club 50 members will get access to all of this, plus attractive offers like the one we are announcing today. If you can join the Club, but haven’t – what are you waiting for!?”
