Overview
This course will help delegates produce concise and effective business documents.   The course will cover different types of documents including client reports, management reports and technical summaries. 
The course will cover objective setting and structuring the document as well as writing techniques, language and presentation.  Delegates are welcome to bring examples of their own documents to use as worked examples during the course.

Who should attend
The course is designed for staff who produce business documents either for internal or external use. Managerial, professional, sales and technical staff from all industry sectors will all benefit.

Course Aim:  Improve report structure, content and style
  • Planning your report - the different types of reports and what they are used for
  • Structuring your report - structuring for impact; titles, sub-headings and numbering systems
  • Writing style and language – the right style and tone; using plain English; editing and feedback
  • Design and layout - dealing with technical or specialist information; graphics, illustrations and photos
