Scotland Regional Fundraiser: Judith King

As we continue to take steps after the Pandemic, we are excited to be in the position of delivering the Edinburgh Santa Fun & Walk once again. As a charity, we have continued to learn to adapt our ways of working to thrive. In June this year, we were in the position to proudly reopened our Wish book for all new referrals for the first time since March 2020. We have also enjoyed our first large in person event for our Wish families since December 2019  in early October this year over 240 Wish family members from across Scotland joined us at Edinburgh’s 5 star Prestonfield House Hotel for our Magical Memories Ball! As they say, “it’s good to be back, waving our Wish granting wand and giving the gift of memory making to our inspirational families”!

As a non-government funded charity, we rely heavily on public donations and support to our in person fundraising events. We are excited to have reached the milestone of 18 years of our much-loved Festive fundraising; it means everything to us and to our inspirational Wish children who will benefit from the support to the fun run through their magical Wish being granted.

Our children’s wishes have the power to transform lives, offering excitement and something to focus on, giving them the chance of escapism from their day-to-day routine of hospital appointments and treatments and a chance to make life long precious memories together.

We thank all local companies and our volunteers who have been involved in helping us to get to this position once again! We are all very excited for the 4th December and we invite you all to be part of the magic with us”
