The Central Scotland Green Network (CSGN) is a national development within the third National Planning Framework which aims to make a significant contribution to Scotland’s sustainable economic development. The CSGN seeks to change the face of Central Scotland, by restoring and transforming the landscape of an area stretching from Ayrshire and Inverclyde in the west, to Fife and the Lothians in the east.

At Central Scotland Green Network Trust (CSGNT) we act and think differently: we look for new ways to deliver change on the ground. We work with partners to develop new approaches and policies. In our working practices we believe in balancing life and work, working flexibly and valuing our staff and what they do. We are looking for a Board Member (This is an unpaid position, expenses remunerated):

Job Description
Board membership offers a fantastic opportunity for an individual to support the delivery of the CSGN Vision, which is to ‘transform Central Scotland into a place where the environment adds value to the economy and where people’s lives are enriched by its quality’.

We are looking for individuals with a range of appropriate skills and experience to add to the capacity of the board, particularly an individual who can demonstrate recent and relevant financial experience, or someone who has a background in private sector development.

We particularly welcome applications from groups currently under-represented on our board such as women, disabled people and people aged under 40.

Board members typically contribute around 8 to 12 days a year made up of board and sub-committee meetings, working groups, partner engagement, events and tours.

Application Process
Information about CSGNT and the appointment is available for download at:

In the first instance, please send your CV with a letter explaining why you are interested in joining the Board and what you can offer in PDF format to recruitment@csgnt.org.uk

There is no fixed closing date for applications. For particular queries relating to the post, please contact recruitment@csgnt.org.uk
