The Age Scotland Big Wheesht Corporate Challenge

Posted: 14th August 2020

More older people than ever before are lonely, isolated and scared.  Scared about becoming ill and worried about how they will cope if they are on their own.

While the rest of us take steps to return to some degree of normality, for the oldest and most vulnerable people this is still a long way off. This is having a devastating impact on their mental health and well-being, exacerbating loneliness and isolation.

We are asking people to help us tackle loneliness and be there for older people who need our support by joining our new event – The Big Wheesht Corporate Challenge on 24 September.

We are looking for 10 business leaders, keen to put their entrepreneurial skills to the test to raise £1,000 the fastest, before being allowed to speak again. You can be as creative as possible to raise the funds, but you will be unable to speak for the duration of the task/event.

Have you got what it takes to ‘HaudyerWheesht?’ Contact Stacey on stacey.kitzinger@agescotland.org.uk for more information or to sign up.
