Keen golfers are being encouraged to help Barnardo’s Scotland mark their 150^th anniversary year at the 6th annual golf day on Wednesday 22^nd June at Archerfield Links, East Lothian.

Up to 20 teams of 4 will have the opportunity to take on the 18 holes of the renowned Fidra Links with a range of prizes handed out.

Events co-ordinator for the children’s charity, Jordyn Armstrong says: “We’re really excited to be heading back to Archerfield Links this year – it’s such a great course that everyone always enjoys. Our golf day is a great way to network, socialise and can also be a fun teambuilding event, all the while contributing to a worthy cause. To mark Barnardo’s 150^th year of supporting vulnerable children and young people, the 2016 golf day is a great opportunity for golfing enthusiasts to help us raise vital funds to allow us to be there always for those families who need us.”

Garreth Lodge, who participated in the 2015 Barnardo’s Golf Day, said: “Last year’s Golf day was a great day out and our team are really looking forward to participating again this year. As well as being good fun it’s for a good cause so it’s great to be involved in.”
