Style and sophistication at The Lea

Posted: 25th June 2018

Inspired by nature, Miller Homes’ stunning Yeats showhome at The Lea showcases the perfect blend of modernity and tradition, featuring a neutral colour palette, beautifully accented with pops of colour from vibrant accessories.

Located in Currie, to the west of the city with the countryside on it’s doorstep, this Miller Homes development truly offers the best of both worlds. The newly unveiled showhome has a versatile style that gives buyers a taste of what life could be like at this beautiful development.

The award-winning, four bedroom Yeats showhome is a popular family home in the Miller Homes portfolio and has been thoughtfully designed to help buyers visualise their dream home. An elegant grey scheme runs throughout the home that is warmed with pink hues and cooled with blue tones, creating a fresh and welcoming environment.

An impressive hallway on the ground floor leads the way to a formal lounge, styled in classic blush pink tones and flooded with light from a feature bay window. For added practicality, the home also features a utility room and WC downstairs.

The open plan kitchen and family/dining area is a standout feature, and creates a space where the whole family can enjoy time together. The heart of the home, the room has a chic, contemporary feel with a bright, white kitchen contrasted with wooden worktops and flooring with subtle touches of lilac adding a pop of colour. French doors leading out to the garden make the area bright and airy and the rustic dining chairs, a grey scale corner sofa and mauve lighting features all work together to add a touch of elegance to the room.

Upstairs in the Yeats, the landing leads the way to three bedrooms which could easily be converted into a nursery, playroom or cosy home office, giving buyers the freedom and flexibility to create their ideal home. The master bedroom with private en-suite brings elegance and charm with a tranquil colour scheme of cream, white and grey with textured cushions and bedding making it truly stand out. The home also includes a family bathroom with separate bath and shower.

The remaining bedrooms have a light and fresh feel, designed with a colour palette that combines pastel accents, metallics, creams and soft greys. Each bedroom is given a wow factor with a striking feature wall, which creates a decadent escape from everyday life. Two bedrooms also share a Jack and Jill en-suite, ensuring morning routines go without hitch.

There are a number of Yeats homes currently available at the development, with prices starting at £439,995. Buyers can make a huge saving on Plot 36, which is available with Part Exchange or a contribution towards LBTT.

Also available at The Lea is the Douglas. Making best use of natural light throughout the home, the open plan kitchen and dining/family room features double patio doors leading out to the back garden, keeping the space bright and airy. French doors lead the way to the adjoining lounge which is again flooded with natural light thanks to a beautiful bay window, and the addition of a study downstairs makes a great home office or even playroom for little ones.

The landing leads the way to four bedrooms upstairs, including a standout master bedroom. Adding a touch of luxury to the home, the master bedroom features a contemporary en-suite and its very own walk in wardrobe, providing plenty of chic storage space. The home also includes a family bathroom with separate shower and bath.

Priced at £399,995 the Douglas is a great place to call home. And to make the move even easier this Summer, Plot 26 is available with Part Exchange or a contribution towards LBTT- meaning there’s no better time to buy.

To make the buying process as simple and convenient as possible, buyers can now reserve their dream plot online via the Miller Homes website in just a few simple steps.

In a prime position in Midlothian, with plenty of open green spaces and easy access to the Capital, The Lea is a great place to call home. Two miles from the City Bypass, a short drive from Edinburgh’s convenient Park & Ride service and just a 20-minute train ride into Edinburgh, travelling in and around the area couldn’t be easier. And for those looking for an escape from the city, the breath-taking Pentland Hills are only six miles away, ideal for exploring the best of what Scotland has to offer on foot.
