Cookery demonstration aiming to teach city students how to cook

Edinburgh student property management and lettings specialist Cullen Property, who specialise in HMO properties, has teamed up with award-winning restaurant Mamma’s pizzeria to teach students how to cook some of their favourite dishes. The event will be taking place on 23 October 2014 from 4.30pm – 6.30pm at Mamma’s in the Grassmarket.

The event is aimed at students who have recently moved away from home and want to learn how to cook for themselves. They will learn how to cook their very own pizza, burger and Banoffee Pie, including traditional and healthy versions. Cullen Property will hand out goodie bags at the event and a follow-up competition will be held for attendees who create the best dish with an exclusive prize that will be announced on the night.

Steve Coyle, Cullen Property Operations Director, said: “Most of our tenants are students and they often tell us that after they have moved into their first flat they wish they knew how to cook for themselves. So we thought, what better way to help freshers settle in than providing cooking skills and knowledge?”

Spaces at the event are limited and need to be booked in advance, on a first come, first served basis. Tickets cost £5 and are available from hazel@cullenproperty.com.
