Posted: 3rd March 2020

After five years of development, testing and proving of Sharktower’s project management software as part of Mudano Limited’s consulting business, within numerous Tier 1 FS client projects and enterprise change portfolios; the product has launched as a separate standalone SaaS business, Sharktower AI Limited on 24th February.

Now headquartered in Edinburgh, the team aims to expand to over 50 next year with further investment plans to support channel and international expansion towards becoming a global leader in AI-driven project management software.

Craig Mackay, Sharktower CEO, added, “I am hugely proud to have been a part of Mudano’s leadership over the last 3.5 years, reaching this pivotal opportunity for both businesses to accelerate. It is with even greater pride that I can lead the new Sharktower business as CEO during the next phase of growth. It is an exciting time to be able to headquarter and grow a technology company with global ambitions from Edinburgh – continuing to benefit from the amazing ecosystem that has been created here and the continued support of Scottish Enterprise. We hope to play our own part in making Edinburgh the number one destination of tech & data companies and talent in Europe.”

Forming the new business focused entirely on their vision of building the autonomous project, will enable the company to accelerate their R&D into AI-driven project management solutions, as well as accelerating the expansion of their product offerings and partnerships.

Lynsey Taylor, Sharktower Head of Customer Success, said, “We have had great success as part of Mudano’s growth, supporting their excellence in client delivery and providing the platform to develop our product. It enabled us to grow the Sharktower engineering team from 5 people in 2016 to a mature product organisation of over 30 people today. The world is being transformed by AI and data-led processes and Sharktower is already a leader in the space of AI-driven project management; this is absolutely the right time for us to stand alone, accelerate our vision and diversify our opportunities. I am immensely excited about the opportunity we have in front of us – and I can’t wait to continue to help our customers remove the waste and failures in project delivery.”
