Ryden secures the pre-letting of 41 Melville Street, Edinburgh to eco-friendly packaging company Vegware

Posted: 15th October 2019

On behalf of private clients, Ryden has successfully pre-let 41 Melville Street, Edinburgh to manufacturer and global specialist in plant-based compostable foodservice packaging Vegware.

Vegware has expanded into these new offices and now occupy c. 8,000 sq ft on Melville Street, after signing a new lease over this office space for eight years, which ties to their existing lease expiry.

The eco friendly packaging company established its Headquarters in Edinburgh in 2006, and has operational bases in Huntington Beach, Sydney and Hong Kong, with distribution throughout Europe and the Middle East. They offer an extensive range of eco catering disposables with high quality products at competitive prices.

The office refurbishment at 41 Melville Street comprised 4,114 sq ft, over Lower ground, ground and two upper floors, being project managed by Reid Mitchell and works undertaken by Watson and Lyall.

Peter I’Anson, Office Agency Partner at Ryden, commented on the deal:

“We are delighted to work with Vegware and advisors Lambert Smith Hampton on this letting.

“There still remains excellent demand for good quality refurbished office space within Edinburgh and Ryden have several similar projects currently ongoing at present.”

Ryden represented the landlord in this transaction, whilst Lambert Smith Hampton acted on behalf of Vegware.
