REC provides air quality expert witness for citroen site redevelopment
REC appeared at the Mayoral representation hearings at London City Hall at the end of last week as the Air Quality Expert Witness for the proposed redevelopment of the Citroen site in Brentford – located near the M4 elevated section.
REC represented Jones Lang LaSalle and applicant London & Quadrant regarding the proposed development of the site to provide a mixed use scheme of 441 residential units (Class C3) including 50% affordable housing with ancillary facilities, flexible uses (within Classes A1, A2, A3 and B1) and a nursery (Class D1).
The London Borough of Hounslow had refused the application and as such, the Mayor had taken over the determination of the planning application. The application went to a planning hearing and REC’s role was to be there to respond to any Air Quality related objections/queries. https://www.london.gov.uk/representation-hearings-2018-07-20
‘We were delighted to represent the applicant at the hearings with Sadiq Khan last week’ said REC’s Air Quality lead – Conal Kearney. ‘Air quality is a key consideration in any inner-city development, particularly London.’
