QMU to Host Online Community Forum on 16th November

Posted: 27th October 2022

Stars of Doctor Who, Peaky Blinders and Outlander will be the subject of conversation at Queen Margaret University (QMU), Edinburgh’s latest Community Forum. Local residents and interested parties are invited to the next online forum on Wednesday, 16 November 2022, at 6.30pm to find out about some of the amazing QMU acting, drama and creative arts graduates who have had success in TV, film and theatre.

QMU’s Community Forum meetings usually take place twice a year and provide community representatives and individuals with an opportunity to interact directly with University staff and discuss subjects of common interest.

At this latest meeting of the Forum, Thomas Kelly, QMU’s Head of Development and Alumni Relations, will talk about the careers of some of our performing arts alumni, who can be found working on productions as diverse as Doctor Who, Peaky Blinders, River City, Outlander, CBeebies, Still Game, The Night Manager and Assassin’s Creed.

Patrick Boxall, Lecturer in Education, will be returning to the Community Forum to give an update on the University’s Outdoor Education Hub.

Those wishing to attend should register their interest by emailing marketing@qmu.ac.uk for a Microsoft Teams link which can be used to join the meeting on the day. For further information, please see the events section of our website.
