Full service law firm Thorntons has appointed Catriona Miller as a Partner in its Edinburgh Private Client team based at Citypoint, Haymarket.

Within her role at Thorntons, Catriona will take a leading role in advising Edinburgh Private Clients and pursue developing the firm’s offering and growing the department.

Catriona grew up in East Lothian before gaining both her degree and Diploma in Legal Practice at Aberdeen University. After graduating Catriona predominantly worked at Fyfe Ireland before joining Anderson Strathern in 2003 and was appointed as Partner in 2016.

Throughout her career, Catriona has built expertise in private client work with specialisms in wills, powers of attorney and tax efficient succession planning.

Catriona said: “I’m delighted to start this new chapter in my career with such a diverse and dynamic firm. I intend to continue to develop my network of connections in the industry and with clients, be an inspiring leader for my team and support Thorntons’ CSR activities within the community.”
