Neurodiversity Works! How to be a Neurodiversity Confident Employer Training – Now Open for Bookings

This new Into Work course is similar to our popular Autism Works! training. This new course will provide a broader overview of neurodivergence including ADHD, Autism, Dyscalculia, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Tourette’s. The course covers:

  • What is Neurodiversity?
  • What does a neurodivergent person experience?
  • Neurodivergent inclusive work environments
  • Neurodivergent inclusive recruitment
  • Continuing to thrive: retention and career progression
  • Resources and sources of support
  • What can you do?

Purpose of training: to equip employers to understand the diverse capabilities and skill-sets neurodivergent individuals can bring to their workforce, and to build confidence in recruiting, retaining and promoting neurodivergent staff.

By the end of this course learners will have

  • Increased understanding of what is currently known about neurodivergence and how neurodivergent people experience their workplace
  • Ability to distinguish common myths and misconceptions about neurodivergent people from facts
  • Understanding of the key benefits of building an inclusive work environment and work practices
  • Increased knowledge of reasonable adjustments and measures to create more neurodivergent-friendly work environments and practices
  • Increased confidence in recruiting and managing neurodivergent staff and knowledge of sources of further information and support.

Course details: 

The online course consists of one 1 hour 45 minute session and two 1 hour 30 minute sessions, delivered over 3 weeks. It is an interactive course, which we deliver to small groups of up to 15 participants, featuring group discussions and small reading and reflection tasks between sessions. The course is delivered by skilled lived experience trainers.

Standard fee: £95 per participant (for 3-part live online course).
