Miller Homes unveils brand new showhome at Manor Wood

Posted: 13th March 2019

Manor Wood is an exceptionally peaceful development with a real community feel, making it the perfect place for families to put down roots. Just four miles from Edinburgh’s city centre, buyers can enjoy urban living while still in semi-rural, leafy surroundings and Miller Homes has now unveiled its beautiful Blair showhome – giving buyers a feel for what life could be like at this beautiful new development.

Perfectly suited to modern family life, the four bedroom Blair showhome has been thoughtfully designed to inspire visitors. Tapping into some contemporary interior trends, the home uses a consistent colour palette of blues and greys with pops of warm ochre – adding a spot of sunshine to the home.

Striking geometric patterned wallpaper adds a point of difference to the hallway upon entering, leading guests to the hub of the home; the open plan living room and dining area. Using the neutral colour palette of grey and dusty blue as a base, the room is brought to life with flashes of sunny mustard; showcasing how this colourful trend can be incorporated tastefully into the home. A mid-century style coffee table and glass dining table maximise space, with wall mirrors intricately placed to reflect the natural light flooding in from the double patio doors.

Set off to the right-hand side of the dining area, the adjoining kitchen is perfectly placed for dining and entertaining, with ample worktop and integrated storage space for large and growing families. Using grey tones complemented with stainless steel fixtures, the minimalist design is chic and stylish, with double windows looking out to the back garden keeping the room bright and airy.

The home incorporates further ochre hues upstairs, as seen in the stunning master bedroom. Positioned at the rear of the home for added peace and privacy, the room features a striking, custom made headboard in the yellow tone, contrasting the muted grey and neutral touches. A statement feature wall of gold feathers against a black backdrop adds a luxurious touch, with the delicate feathers complimenting the geometric features on the vanity unit and bedside tables.

With clean white walls, Bedroom 3 is exceptionally bright and airy. The perfect room for older children or teens, the space is in keeping with the rest of the home yet still has a young, fresh vibe. Once more, light yellow and pops of navy bring the room to life, creating an on trend, stylish space for older siblings to make their own.

At the front of the home, Bedroom 4 has been transformed into a beautiful children’s room – showcasing the home’s ability to cater to a wide spectrum of buyers at all stages of life. Using a sweet colour palette of blushing pinks and pastel greys, the room would also make a great nursery for newborns or a playroom for little members of the family.

Taking inspiration from the vibrant cosmopolitan vibe of Edinburgh, the Blair showhome encapsulates all that Manor Wood has to offer. In one of the most convenient areas of the capital, the development is in a prime position for travelling into the city and across the central belt. Less than four miles from the cultural attractions, shops and restaurants of Princes Street, residents can enjoy the best of city life on their doorstep, while enjoying day to day life in peaceful surroundings.

Interested buyers are encouraged to visit the Blair showhome from Thursday to Monday from 10.30am to 5.30pm, call 0808 252 6663 to hear more from a Development Sales Advisor or visit www.millerhomes.co.uk.
