Lindsays growth plans continue with new chairman appointment

In his role as Chairman, Peter will be working with the current management team, including Alasdair Cummings, Managing Partner and Ian Beattie, Chief Operating Officer, as well as Board members Callum Kennedy (Partner and Head of Private Client), and Derek Duncan (Partner in Residential Property) who is based in Dundee and joined the firm when it merged with RSB Macdonald in July 2015.

Peter is a well-respected and highly experienced lawyer who represents clients in and around Edinburgh and across Tayside. Commenting on his role, he said: “I’m delighted and am looking forward to working with the Board and the whole team at Lindsays to deliver high-quality legal services to businesses and individuals. I would hope to increase the firm’s market share both by satisfying the needs of existing clients and anticipating their needs for the future.”

Lindsays’ Managing Partner, Alasdair Cummings, said: “I am delighted with Peter’s appointment and I am excited by the opportunity that we have to take the business forward successfully in the three cities where we are located – Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee. Peter brings a natural commercial outlook to the table which is invaluable for us to realise our ambition to grow. As part of our Tayside expansion, we have recently secured an additional 2,600 square feet of office space in Seabraes. Our strategic plan is to continue to increase our presence in this region and further develop the range of services we offer to both our individual and commercial clients.”

RSB Lindsays, as the firm is known in Dundee and Tayside, has grown rapidly over the past 12-months.   The firm now boasts 10 partners and over 35 staff based in the firm’s West End office in Seabraes and in Crichton Street.
