Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel opens for check-in

Posted: 29th June 2020

Kimpton Charlotte Square is officially re-opening its doors on Wednesday 15 July, allowing guests to escape from the new normal and enjoy a well-deserved break.

The hotel will open its doors to guests for the first time since temporarily closing in March. In accordance with the current Government guidelines and ensuring that the safety and wellbeing remains the number one priority, the hotel has introduced health and cleaning protocols, as well as social distancing measures, to help ensure that the hotel, its restaurants, and bars continue to be safe, welcoming spaces for everyone.

The Garden, an oasis of calm situated at the heart of the hotel, will also reopen serving a delicious array of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Filled with natural light and seen as an inner city sanctuary, hotel guests can sit back, relax and enjoy a drink or a meal, day or night.

Kieran Quinn, General Manager of Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel, said: “Our belief that heartfelt human connections make people’s lives better has never been stronger. This has been an incredibly difficult few months for all of us but by reopening our doors we hope to provide our guests with an escape from the outside world and the ability to create new memories in our glorious city once again.

“We pride ourselves on offering a vibrant Scottish service full of charm and personality and this will remain. However, our priority is, and always will be the safety and wellbeing of everyone at Kimpton Charlotte Square – so we have introduced enhanced measures at every touchpoint of the hotel. We may not be able to welcome our guests with open arms quite yet, but we certainly have open hearts and we are incredibly excited for our doors to be open once again.”

The re-opening of the hotel will see all common areas and shared equipment being disinfected at frequent intervals and hand sanitiser stations will be provided throughout all common spaces. Close-contact areas, such as the front desk, will have an additional layer of protection provided, providing visitors with greater peace of mind.

Guests can also be enrolled in a guest messaging service on arrival at the hotel, allowing them to use their own devices to communicate with hotel staff and remain at a safe, social distance.

Features that Kimpton Charlotte Square is known and loved for will remain, including its complimentary PUBLIC Bikes, each will have an additional layer of disinfection with guests present. All in-room amenities, such as communal bath products and yoga mats, will also be disinfected between each and every guest stay.

Meeting and events spaces, the spa and gym will remain closed for the moment, hoping to open mid-August in line with guidance received from the Scottish Government.

Prices for an overnight in a Double room start at £200 including tax. The Scottish City Hop package is also available and starts on Monday July 29, offering 15% off overnight stays to local guests from the EH or G postcode, when you book to stay at either Kimpton Charlotte Square or Kimpton Blythswood Square in Glasgow.
