IME helps accountants make New Town switch
IME Property Ltd has helped a well-established Edinburgh accountancy business find new office space in the Capital’s New Town.
Steedman & Company was keen to move out of its existing premises in Beaverhall Road and find more space for its growing team in a more central location.
The accountancy firm has agreed a 5-year lease with landlord Dalidichen Investments at 7 Howe Street, Edinburgh. The deal with IME Property Ltd will see Steedman & Company move into the 2,023 sq ft office over ground and garden levels in June 2015.
IME Property has also been instructed to sell Steedman & Company’s existing property on Beaverhall Road.
IME Property Managing Director Iain Mercer believes this latest deal helps further establish IME as an emerging player in Edinburgh’s commercial property market.
“More and more businesses are coming to us looking for advice and help on potential relocations driven by our growing market presence and ability to crunch deals quickly.
“We worked closely with Steedman & Company’s management team to find a suitable location for them and we’re delighted to take on the disposal of their existing office space on Beaverhall Road,” added Mr Mercer.
Steedman & Company’s director, Jason Steedman, said: “Our move to Howe Street marks a significant milestone for the business and, while remaining in the same general area close to our clients, will provide much needed space for our expanding team as well as putting us closer to national transport links .”
IME Property is Edinburgh’s newest independent commercial property agency and in January relocated its head office to a shop front on Home Street in Edinburgh’s West Tollcross area.
