With one in every 100 Brits estimated to have coeliac disease, Hopetoun Farm Shop, near South Queensferry, is increasing its range of gluten free products as it aims to become a destination for all food lovers. The comprehensive range designed to offer everything from meats and pâtés to breads and biscuits has been hand picked by the team to make it easy to follow a gluten free lifestyle. For breakfast there’s Glebe Farm breakfast cereals, including Oat Fruit Muesli, Strawberry Granola Crisp and Porridge Oats, or handmade gluten free Aberdeen Angus beef sausages and Hopetoun Lorne Sausage.

Lunch is a feast of gluten free breads, cheeses, chutneys and delicious fresh salads and vegetables. The gluten free breads and rolls come from local gluten free supplier The Wheat Free Bakery in Broxburn. And for dinner to accompany the vast range of Hopetoun Estate reared beef, lamb, chicken and game the butcher has also produced gluten free steak burgers and Caribbean beef stir-fry.

It’s not all savoury though, as for gluten free customers with a sweet tooth there’s an extensive range of biscuits and puddings, from local Scottish producers. The Wheat Free Bakery supply freshly baked carrot cake and millionaire shortbread, while Hunter’s Puddings supply delicious sticky toffee and chocolate fudge puddings. As Christmas approaches Hopetoun Farm Shop also offer pre-made and ‘make-your-own’ gluten free hampers as the perfect Christmas gift. The hamper full of gluten free goodies, including Findlaters Duck Liver Pate with Cointreau Poached Apricots, Henshelwoods chutney, Angelic Rosemary & Sea Salt biscuits and Pulsetta breadcrumbs, is available in store or online for only £65.

The gluten free offering has been designed with customer demand in mind, as Camille Craig, Hopetoun Farm Shop Marketing Manager explains: “At Hopetoun Farm Shop we aim to provide shoppers with outstanding products and support them in making informed food choices.”

Pre-ordering of butchery products is recommended to ensure availability.
