Hearts Telecom

Posted: 5th November 2015

Leading Scottish telecoms company, HighNet has recently completed a major upgrade of network connectivity at Tynecastle Stadium the home of Heart of Midlothian Football Club.

In a comprehensive programme, HighNet undertook a detailed assessment of the club’s legacy communication systems, upgrading, replacing and removing services where necessary to create a solid sustainable operating platform that will support the club’s burgeoning business in the future. This has provided the club with a much improved and more client friendly telephony system and faster, more reliable broadband speeds for all services including, general office, press and media areas, hospitality and conference & banqueting suites and the club’s dedicated TV service, Hearts TV. The club now offers state of the art communications facilities for guests at match day and non-match day events and thanks to HighNet’s highly competitive pricing, is now making a substantial monthly saving on costs.

As the partnership between HighNet and Hearts has matured, a new deal has been brokered to allow businesses to enjoy the same benefits as the club, whilst supporting the club in the future. The venture which is branded “Hearts Telecom” will provide data services, phone lines, phone system and mobile connectivity and products to the business marketplace. The proposition to any business large or small is simple: move any or all of your data, connectivity and telephony services to HighNet and you can expect to benefit from enhanced capability and in most cases, enjoy a reduction in costs.

Hearts will benefit too, receiving regular monthly revenue from every contract signed with Hearts Telecom. This project is part of the clubs off-field strategy to diversify income streams and bring long term financial stability

CEO and Chair, Ann Budge, commented:” It was clear from the outset that we needed to undertake a radical overhaul of the club’s communications infrastructure. HighNet impressed us from the outset. Their thorough approach and sound recommendations have placed Hearts in the top tier of connected football and events stadia; HighNet’s appreciation of the business of football made them a natural choice and we look forward to taking our partnership further. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services to businesses.”
