FarrPoint, Scotland’s fastest growing technology consultancy, has helped the Scottish Football Association to review the Scottish football governing body’s current IT infrastructure and independently assess Invitation To Tender responses. The review has resulted in a range of recommendations designed to improve the efficiency and security of the Scottish FA’s national network.

FarrPoint also reviewed the Scottish FA’s tendering processes and identified optimisation opportunities. The resultant evaluation summary report to the Scottish FA has allowed them to clearly assess their options and enter into procurement negotiations. The new IT infrastructure will enable more flexible and mobile working for 200+ users and provide secure and reliable services for server and web hosting, email, file storage plus a new Wide Area Network.

Scott MacKintosh of the Scottish FA said:
“The Scottish FA required independent advice on the most appropriate solution to deliver future IT services across our estate. Through recommendation, we contracted with FarrPoint and were very impressed with not only their quick grasp of the issues but focused advice and recommendations which allowed us to proceed with greater confidence through our project.”

Andrew Muir, CEO at FarrPoint, said:
“The Scottish FA is a high profile organisation in Scotland with excellent governance at its heart. It was our role to independently score each submission, evaluate and ensure that the planned IT refresh was procured with knowledge and understanding, so that the Scottish FA could choose an optimal provider to deliver its services.”
