Edinburgh-based independent music store Red Dog Music has been awarded the title of Best Medium Retailer by the Music Industries Association, the UK Trade Association of the musical instrument industry.

The award is decided by a UK-wide public vote on “the best presented and staffed shops, with the best customer service”, and is open to all music stores in the UK, of which there are over 1,900 listed on yell.com[1].

The company recently expanded with the opening of a London branch in August 2013.

Alex Marten, Red Dog Music Managing Director, comments “this award is a huge honour for us and a testament to the hard work, positive attitude, and determination of all the staff”.
