The for the second year running, DWP East Scotland Employer Relations team and the Edinburgh Zoo are collaborating in a progressive approach, organising a ground-breaking Recruitment Event at the prestigious Edinburgh Zoo.

This initiative, along with collaborative efforts in signing up Edinburgh Zoo last year as a Disability Confident employer, has significantly opened up job opportunities across East Scotland and demonstrates our steadfast dedication to fostering a more inclusive workforce.

Last year the event garnered exceptional success with over 450 Job seekers in attendance with 20 employers from multiple sectors, including national brands to small to medium employers supporting the event.

This remarkable event provided a platform for job-seeking individuals to explore diverse employment opportunities but also showcased the DWPs unwavering commitment to facilitating meaningful connections between job seekers and prospective employers.

DWP East Scotland Strategic External Relations Leader Susan Gray said,

Due to its success DWP and Edinburgh Zoo have joined forces again to run another Recruitment event for jobseekers across Scotland. This will take place on the 15^th May 2025 from 11:00am to 3:30pm at Edinburgh Zoo with multiple sectors in attendance.
