Company Flu Jab with YourGP

Posted: 19th September 2016

It’s flu season again – it’s time to get the flu jab.

The flu is an unpleasant illness and can be debilitating for many people who get it. It often involves being sick with a cough, fever, a blocked or running nose and a feeling of tiredness. People who contract the flu usually have to spend a few days at home, missing work or other commitments.

Employee sickness costs businesses an average of £595 per employee per year.

What can you do to prevent this?

YourGP receive delivery of the Flu vaccine, commonly called the ‘Flu Jab’ a few weeks before the NHS, enabling those who want it can have it early – and we now have it in stock!

We can make administering the Flu Jab to your employees simple and easy for both you and your staff as there is no need for your employees to come to us. Instead we can attend your company premises to deliver the vaccination to your staff in as little as an afternoon. We can also offer group discounts for your company.

Why vaccinate your staff?

As previously mentioned, staff sickness costs businesses £595 per employee, per year. With the flu being as infectious as it is, it’s important to keep the virus from spreading amongst employees to maximize business efficiency and minimize both business disruption and staff sickness.

To stay protected, it is recommended to have your Flu jag each year and the vaccination itself involves a single injection in the arm.

To invest in your employees and their health is to invest in the future success of your business.
