UK top 50 and leading Scottish law firm Brodies LLP is hosting the next session of its successful  ‘Academy for HR Professionals’ series in Edinburgh on May 24th, the focus of which will be ‘Managing sickness and absence at work’.

The free, half day programme, to be held at the firm’s Morrison Street office, will bring HR professionals together, alongside members of Brodies’ top ranked employment and immigration team, for an interactive session that will involve group discussion and worked examples.

The programme for the morning includes an in depth look at;

• managing short-term sickness absence (related and unrelated short-term absences);
• managing long-term sickness absence;
• managing absence in a hybrid working environment;
• seeking medical reports, reasonable adjustments and managing the risk of disability discrimination claims;
• mental health and stress

The Academy is open to all HR professionals, including anyone new to HR, in the early stages of their career or returning to HR following a period of family leave or a career break.
