Barrhead Travel has announced that they have opened up 100 positions across their 34 branded stores across the UK.

The Glasgow-based travel company is expanding its workforce to help support those who have lost their jobs following the collapse of Thomas Cook, earlier this week. They plan on repositioning a team of people to travel to meet with potential candidates throughout the UK over the coming weeks.

The company has created a positions throughout the UK store network, with tens of new jobs across Scottish cities and towns including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen.  Former Thomas Cook employees will bring a wealth of experience to the Barrhead Travel family and are being actively encouraged to contact the Barrhead Travel recruitment line.

Their Brilliant Travel division is also fast-tracking applications for up to 100 additional homeworkers or those looking to start their own independent agency through the Brilliant Travel Managed Partner model.  With an uncapped earning potential, there is no set up fee and members benefit from full training and support in marketing and administration.

Barrhead Travel said there continues to be growing customer demand for specialist holidays such as adventure travel, weddings & honeymoons, river cruise and luxury.

The majority of positions available are customer-focussed roles within their branches or specialist call centres however there are vacancies also available in marketing, IT and Business Development.
