Adverse weather delays completion of the Queensferry Crossing

The Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce has today discussed with Transport Scotland the delayed completion of the Forth Replacement Crossing (Queensferry Crossing).
The target completion date is now July at the earliest, the end of August at the latest. This is “due to adverse weather impacting the dismantling of the tower cranes, some electrical and other mechanical considerations and also waterproofing. Clearly health and safety considerations must be the priority of Transport Scotland and the Contractor.”
