Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce member AM Bid Services Employs Dane
Queen Margaret University graduate, Dane Thomson has successfully gained employment with expanding Lothians based, AM Bid Services Ltd – a company specialising in providing bidding services.
After months of relentless job searching, Dane showed real initiative and created a one of a kind PR campaign ‘Employ Daney’ to boost his employment chances. This campaign included hosting ‘Come Dane With Me’ – an exciting dinner event where employers were invited round to Dane’s home to discuss tips for working in the industry.
The campaign caught the eye of employer Andrew Morrison, owner of AM Bid Services and member of the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce on LinkedIn, who then head hunted Dane. Andrew initially discussed mentoring Dane, but was so impressed with his approach to finding work, he partnered with The Business Partnership to offer him a Bid Development Executive role.

Andrew stated that all he wants to do is help people in businesses reach their full potential, he stayed true to his word by offering a kind gesture – Dane’s first suit to be confidently dressed for the new role.

Dane is settling in well to his new role and is set to attend the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Email Marketing for Business event which takes place on Friday 4th March.
