Shepherd and Wedderburn host Property 2015

Posted: 6th July 2015

Property 2015, Scotland’s premier gathering for property developers, investors, occupiers, lenders and service providers in Scotland returns to the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Wednesday 9th September.

Now in its 16th year, the conference once again promises to deliver an outstanding panel of speakers and the highest calibre of delegates.

Colin Innes (Pictured above), Partner at Shepherd and Wedderburn and conference chair commented:
“This year’s conference theme, Developing Momentum for the Regions, is very much designed to shine a light on what is needed for the property industry in Scotland to support and realise opportunities for growth. High on the agenda for the Scottish Government is the need for more housing in Scotland. With constrained public financial resources the role of the private sector in delivering on this requirement is key. I look forward to hearing the views of our highly respected speakers on the innovative solutions for addressing this situation, as well as their insights on the essential characteristics a region must display in order to successfully compete for national and international funding for the sector”.

Property 2015 speakers will dispel some of the popular myths relating to the private rented sector, explore how alternative models and collaborative working can help drive the development of new housing and consider why density and development size is an essential stimulus for sustainable growth. Speakers will consider what environment is required to attract the investment necessary and why adaptability of buildings should be front of mind at the planning and design stages in order to future proof our built environment against the shockwaves of time, technology and change of use.

Speakers include:
• Trevor Williams, Chief Economist, Commercial Banking – Lloyds Banking Group
• David Yaldron, Director of City Centre Developments, Grosvenor Britain & Ireland
• Ian Mulcahey, Managing Director, Gensler Architects
• Duncan Sutherland, Regeneration Director, Sigma Capital Group
• James Fennell, Managing Director, Nathaniel Lichfield & Partners

Property 2015 benefits from the continued support of the Scottish Property Federation and media sponsors Property Week as well as past sponsors including Invest in Fife, and Click-let.
