From one grand designer to another: Property Studios Michelle Milnes Features on “Grand Designs”
It’s not often that the stars align between award-winning property teams, world-renowned historic architecture and cutting edge, modern design. However, this unique collaboration is featuring as one of the latest projects on Kevin McCloud’s “Grand Designs”.
The Gardeners Bothy is a conversion and extension of a former gardeners’ workshop and outbuildings, set within an historic walled garden, designed by renowned Scottish architect Sir Robert Lorimer.
Dating from the early 1900s, these ornamental and kitchen gardens were created to serve the nearby Lorimer designed Briglands House. Long regarded as an outstanding example of Arts and Crafts architecture, it is now the Head Office for award winning creative property marketing company, Property Studios.
Michelle Milnes, Managing Director of Property Studios, who was interviewed as part of the filming of this latest episode, confirms “we are thrilled to see new life being breathed into this magical setting, with classic design, blended together with modern finishes, showcasing the best of contemporary architecture.
Behind the project to redevelop this historic site are award winning, Edinburgh based architects Staran Architects Ltd. The project is a personal one, as it is the home of Iain Shiladay, co-founder of the company. For Staran Architects, this latest accolade undoubtedly showcases their expertise in creating unique and ambitious designs.
Property Studios boasts an award-winning team of nearly 50 professionals and the largest range of cutting-edge property marketing solutions of any marketing agency in Scotland. For further information contact 0131 618 7702 or office@propertystudios.co.uk.
