Extra seats for sold-out P!NK show at Hampden Park

Posted: 17th June 2019

ScotRail is adding extra carriages to help music lovers travel to see P!NK at Hampden Park this weekend.

The national football stadium is hosting the sold-out Beautiful Trauma World Tour on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 June.

ScotRail will be adding carriages to trains to Glasgow, as well as on trains between Glasgow Central and Mount Florida – the closest station to Hampden Park – each day.

Queuing systems will be in place at Glasgow Central before the concert, and at Mount Florida station afterwards.

Fans are also being advised to head back to Mount Florida as quickly as possible after the event finishes and join the queues on Bolton Drive, as the last services of the evening will depart soon after and are expected to be exceptionally busy. Customers will not be able to access the station from Battlefield Drive.

To help ensure customers arrive at the gig on time, they should allow extra time for travel – as well as purchasing tickets through to Mount Florida in advance.

As with most special events, ScotRail will have extra staff on the ground to assist customers.

ScotRail Head of Customer Operations Phil Campbell said:

“We’re looking forward to helping music lovers travel by train to see P!NK in concert this weekend.

“To help the event run smoothly, we’re adding extra carriages to key trains to and from the city centre, as well as to Hampden.

“Our advice to customers is to make sure you’re aware of your travel options for both legs of your journey and, if possible, leave extra time for travel as trains are likely to be busier than normal. Buying tickets in advance will also help reduce your queuing time.”
