The North British Distillery welcomes new board member

The North British Distillery is pleased to announce the appointment of Pamela Scott to the company’s board of directors.

Pamela takes on this responsibility alongside her role as Global Operations Excellence Director – Strategy and Standards at Diageo, where she has held a number of roles across the company’s end to end supply chain from starting her career as a Chemistry Graduate in the laboratories. Pamela brings vast leadership and business experience to this position and will help to drive performance improvement and best practice at North British. She has a passion for people development and building inclusion and diversity in the workplace that enable teams and individuals to give their best.

Pamela Scott said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to have joined the board at The North British Distillery. I am looking forward to using my experience with Diageo to help drive improvement and sustainability, and to working with the North British team and their local partners and charities.”

Welcoming the appointment, Alan Kilpatrick, Managing Director of The North British Distillery, said: “I am very pleased that Pamela is joining the North British team. She will bring a wealth of experience from her previous roles in the Scotch Whisky industry.

“Pamela will strengthen our expertise and will help ensure we continue to be one of Scotland’s largest Grain Whisky producers.”

Pamela Scott’s biography

Pamela has a wealth of experience in the Scotch Whisky industry, having worked at Diageo for over 27 years. She has held various roles across the end to end supply chain including leading significant parts of Scotland Packaging Operations, Guinness Technical in Ireland, Europe Supply HR, Global Strategy development and the delivery of strategic global projects focused on continuous improvement.  She has also been involved in due diligence activities for mergers and acquisitions.

Pamela also serves as a Trustee for the Big Hearts Community Trust and as Non-Executive Director of Castle Rock Edinvar Housing Association.
