Prestigious Edinburgh serviced apartments company Fountain Court are modernising their business model to meet the needs of the 21st century traveller.

The well-established business is investing more than £1.2 million in an extensive refurbishment of its West End serviced apartments and is developing a range of forward thinking, guest-friendly initiatives.

This period of positive change and strategic restructuring of the company’s portfolio has resulted in recent sales of several of its Edinburgh properties as Fountain Court streamlines its business going forward.

Fountain Court, an independent Edinburgh based company which has been working with both leisure and corporate guests for more than 20 years, said it was focusing on its serviced apartments in the city’s vibrant financial district.

These include the centrally located Grove, Harris and Executive properties, which have a total of 85 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Announcing the £1.2 million investment, Fountain Court Director John Neil said

The serviced apartments sector has enjoyed a huge growth in recent years. More than 23,600 apartments are set to be added in Europe by 2022, with the UK accounting for 32 per cent – about 7,500 apartments over the next three years.
