Edinburgh Dungeons teams up with Kiltwalk to get Edinburgh walking in September

Characters from the Edinburgh Dungeons are scaring people to sign up to the capital’s biggest ever Kiltwalk.

Characters Burke and Hare, who have tormented visitors from across the world for hundreds of years, are daring the people of Edinburgh to take part in the charity walking event, held on Sunday 15 September.

The army of villains, rogues and scoundrels have warned those who ignore their threats, that it will be at their own peril.

This year’s event is set to be Edinburgh’s biggest ever Kiltwalk, with more than 3,000 walkers already committed to the cause. Each walker’s charitable fundraising will be boosted by philanthropist and entrepreneur, Sir Tom Hunter, who will once again top-up all funds raised by 40%. This means that for every £1 raised, £1.40 goes to charity.

Walkers can choose from three distances; the 24-mile Mighty Stride, which runs from Holyrood to BT Murrayfield, the 15-mile Big Stroll, which sets off from Fisherrow Links, or the five-mile Wee Wander, which is perfect for the whole family.
