VOCAL is a carer-led charity, supporting over 9,000 unpaid family carers in Edinburgh and Midlothian each year.  We seek to fill the vacancy of Communications Officer to help us expand our reach to carers and the public to promote the wide range of carer support services available to carers.

Applicants will evidence extensive experience in website and WordPress management, press, media, email and social media marketing with CRM, InDesign and Photoshop skills.

Strong planning, design and public presentation skills with a good understanding of carers’ issues are essential, as are motivation, leadership and people skills and the ability to establish positive partnerships with staff, volunteer and a wide range of agencies and professionals across public, private and third sectors.
