US Tariffs – Department for Business and Trade Latest Update

- Now that the 10% tariff on UK exports has come into effect, the “Check duties and customs procedures for exporting goods” tool (CHEG) has been updated.
- The White House Executive Order links to Annexes, including lists on goods that are exempt from tariffs, and there is a link to this on great.gov.uk.
- For questions regarding goods already in transit: Section 3 of the White House Executive Order, entitled “Implementation” covers this.
- Businesses can share their views on potential UK measures responding to the new US tariffs on the Request for input here, before 11:59 BST on 1 May.
