TURNBERRY SPA TRANSFORMATION BRINGS NEW LUXURY DIMENSION INTO FULL VIEW

Posted: 28th June 2021

The exquisite new Turnberry Spa has unveiled a new level of five-star opulence as part of the resort’s continued multi-million pound transformation.

The Spa interior has been reinvigorated following an extensive 18-month restoration with guests able to take full advantage of the additional luxuries and a new range of treatments on offer, designed to revitalise both body and mind.

But at the heart of the Spa is a 65-foot, heated indoor swimming pool, from which you can gaze at those incredible views across the famous Championship links, Ailsa Craig and beyond to the Isle of Arran.

Among the new additions, a completely new poolside ocean-view bio-sauna with a floor to ceiling vista, ladies and gents relax saunas and steam rooms, experience showers and ice fountains which have further enhanced what was already an idyllic place to unwind and relax in five-star luxury.

Treatments are designed by ESPA, offering an indulgent selection of body wraps, body scrubs and massages, including Hot Stone therapy, hydrotherapy, reflexology and aromatherapy.

New for reopening is the range of ESPA Modern Alchemy treatments, available exclusively within Scotland at The Spa at Turnberry. Working to not only target the physical needs but also emotional requirements, spa guests will experience a more meaningful and holistic journey of rejuvenation, to maintain the positive balance between body and mind.

For those eager to achieve a healthy glow, the NEW ESPA Glow From Within Facial is packed with nutrient-rich active ingredients to feed the skin to brighten and refresh dull complexions. The massage movements in this facial are guided by the body’s meridian lines to support the stimulation of lymphatic draining and help boost the flow of blood and nutrients to the skin.

Turnberry also boasts the innovative ishga range of organic Scottish seaweed skincare products. The anti-ageing properties of the finest hand-picked seaweed from the Scottish Hebrides have been harnessed to create an organic skincare range for massages, body wraps and facial treatments.

Ralph Porciani, general manager at Turnberry, said: “The newly-restored Turnberry Spa has been completed to the highest possible standards and now provides an even better experience for our guests to enjoy some well-deserved five-star relaxation.”

The Revive package (which starts from £190 and is suitable for day visitors), is an 80-minute ESPA treatment with a choice of Mindful Massage, Strength & Resilience, Hot Stone Massage, Deep Muscle Massage and Swedish Massage.

The Drift package (which starts from £140 and is also suitable for day visitors) is a choice of two 25-minute ishga treatments (Salt & Oil Scrub, Express Facial or Express Massage).

The Great ESPA Escape (starting from £349 per night) is the ultimate restorative spa break, pairing world-class, innovative treatments and facilities with the utmost in luxury accommodation and exquisite dining. Included in the package is a daily breakfast, a 50-minute ESPA treatment (per person based on occupancy), 20-per-cent discount on additional treatments and full access to the spa facilities.
