Understanding Promotion in Business

Overview:
 
This workshop is suitable as a follow on from the brand workshop or for businesses who understand their branding and would like to take the next steps in promoting their business.

You know who you are and who your audience is, now what is the next step? You need to create a promotional plan to speak to your audience in the right way, at the right time, in the right place.
 
Course outline:

 
We will introduce the concept of promotion and the importance of it in communicating what you do.  Exploring the elements of a promotional plan to understand what is included and why for delegates to then apply this to their own business. For the promotional plan, we explore audiences and media consumption, through recent stats on media consumption alongside tools and activities that can be carried out by delegates to form their promotional plan. 

Once the promotional plan elements have been explored, we will move into outlining the steps involved in the implementation stage, and within this the importance of a test and learn phase at the start of a campaign and how to use learnings to refine activity.
A follow up consultation call of 1hr will also be offered to each delegate attending the workshop.

Course Outcomes:   
  • Create promotional objectives based on marketing strategy. What do you want to achieve with your promotional activity? 
  • Develop customer personas to identify media consumption
  • Explore promotional mix and evaluate media/promotional tools with a focus on social media and digital platforms.
  • Understand elements required to create a promotional plan.
  • Outline steps to implementing, testing, and refining a campaign.

Zoom Video call with breakout sessions. Workbooks will be provided in advance of the workshop.
