Course Overview:

It has been estimated that around £100 million is lost annually to UK exporters in direct costs as a result of missing or incorrect documentation and contractual procedures. Documents are involved in every aspect of the export transaction. This course examines the commercial, official and transport documents and looks at how they are used and the costs of obtaining certain documents. The legal requirements of overseas countries are also explained.

Who is it for?

Those involved in the preparation of international trade documentation and senior management responsible for managing staff involved in these processes.

 Exam
There is an optional exam (open book) at the end of the course, this is marked by the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) and gives a certificate of competence. These exams (on passing 6 subjects) will lead to a BCC Foundation Award in International Trade which is mapped to a Level 2 SVQ terminology and provides invaluable basic skills for small and large companies alike.
