Overview:

Whether you are getting ready to be a full-time trainer, or your role means you have a responsibility to deliver some training, you'll want to be confident and competent in the training that you do. Train-The-Trainer participants will understand the process of becoming trainers, and learn that training is a process where skills, knowledge, and attitudes are applied.

The Train-The-Trainer Training will give all types of trainer's tools to help them create and deliver engaging, compelling Training workshops and sessions that encourage their trainees to learn and take responsibility for their development. The course includes skills such as facilitating skills, training & development needs analyses, understanding attendees needs, and training course design.

The content includes:
  • Understanding how people learn
  • Training Needs Analysis
  • Preparing for a training course
  • Designing and delivering a training session
  • Effective presentation
  • Bringing the curtain down
  • Using training aids
  • Setting and monitoring training goals
  • Training sessions with feedback
 
Who should attend?
 
This Course is For You if:
  • You are responsible for on-the-job training, or induction of team members in key tasks.
  • You are an induction or work placement “buddy”, coach, internal trainer, or supervisor, looking to improve your training skills.
  • You already deliver training courses but haven’t received any training in how to do it, and are seeking reassurance what you are currently doing is effective and/or are looking for ways to make it even more effective
 
Learning Outcomes 
  • Understand the role of the Trainer
  • Learned how people learn and the importance of recognising learning styles / preferences
  • How to analyse tasks and activities in order to plan effective one to one training
  • How to design practical training sessions using a structured process to meet specified training needs
  • Experience of delivering one short piece of practical training
  • How to review and feedback to self and other trainers
