Time Management

Time Management

@ Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce 40 George Street EDINBURGH Midlothian EH2 2LE

14th January, 2020 09:30-16:30 Training 195.00-250.00
This is a practical course that will give you the skills, tools and techniques to get the most from your time, and yourself.

We will work through a practical model that can be used to capture and then prioritise everything you need to do.  We also look at the main things that trip us up, namely overwhelm and procrastination, and identify strategies to avoid and defeat these challenges.

You will examine a range of techniques to organise your time and your tasks, and quite simply how you can get things done.  You will identify which techniques work best for you and put an action plan in place to create and maintain positive habit change.

Who should attend:

This course is for anyone who wants to get more out of their time, and be more effective and productive.  The better we manage out time and ourselves, the more we can achieve and we can do so with less effort and stress.  If we can increase our effectiveness and productivity at work, we can also improve the quality of our free time, knowing that we are on top of all our tasks, demands and commitments.

Learning Outcomes:
- A full understanding of what good time management is, and how to achieve it
- The introduction of a system to capture and prioritise all our tasks and demands
- The ability to identify what needs to be done and when, and then get it done
- An understanding of how overwhelm and procrastination cause problems, and how to overcome them
- A clear action plan for creating better time management and achieving lasting habit change

Trainer Profile:

Dave Jarrold is a coach and trainer specialising in productivity and personal effectiveness.  He has over 20 years experience working in large organisations, building new departments and driving creativity and change.  He has also established a number of businesses and developed his productivity and effectiveness specialty through first and experience, often in highly pressured circumstances.

With a practical background in project management and business development Dave developed a number of sytems and processes to support effective working.  He then moved into coaching in a variety of contexts, including personal development.  This led to a realisation that to be truly effective we need to understand ourselves in order to implement systems and techniques in ways that work for each of us.  This is what sets Dave’s training apart and what makes his approach so effective.
