Leading and Managing Change – Creating the future you want.

We live in a world of constant change and our organisations need to constantly adapt to both survive and prosper. The history books are full of stories about organisations that failed to adapt to developments and change quickly enough.

In the best organisations change is constant, managed effectively as part of day-to-day business. In the 21st Century there is no such thing as standing still; you are either going forwards or backwards as the world around us continually updates and evolves.

Change can become the ‘way we work around here’, reducing stress, tension and creating a can do mentality.

Course outline:

The workshop blends theory and models with real life management experience and practical examples along with group discussions. The main focus is on understanding the impact of change, how to develop a change programme/approach that maximises the probability of a successful transformation and manage the human aspects of change.

It will then explore how best sustain the change/ new way of working and at the same time help you be comfortable with uncertainty, unpredictability and develop a flexible approach. It is an interactive workshop, blending facilitator input and delegate contribution to drive open dialogue and learning.

Mark Douglas is a director, mentor and coach who has had a wide and varied career.
He has been a change management consultant, led various functions including Supply Chain & Operations, HR, Learning & Development, Retail Management and Property Development for a major multinational company, an associate lecturer with Dundee Business School and since 2012 a business partner in Blue Ptarmigan and a business mentor and coach with the Princes Trust.

He has extensive experience in the design and delivery of people based ‘performance improvement interventions’ for SME’s, large corporations and public sector bodies.
