@ Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce Delivered Online Midlothian

22nd July, 2020 09:30-12:30 Training 95.00-115.00

We live in a world where our operating norms have just been turned upside down. As we emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown both employees and customers have different expectations and needs to those 6 months ago with much going online and digital.

This is going to be one of the most challenging years you will ever have. You will have to adapt your business and ways of working to these new norms, introduce and lead change and deliver more with less resources it is a truth that we are all facing.

The history books are full of stories about businesses that failed to adapt to market developments and change quickly enough. Post Covid-19 we need to lead and manage businesses where change is constant, managed effectively as part of day-to-day operations as the business evolves, develops and adapts to our new norms.
Course Outcomes:
  • Build your capability and capacity to successfully plan and implement change and make your business more agile.
  • Understand the human side of change and know how to help your people deal more effectively with change and their new norms.
  • Maximise the probability of successful business change/transformation.
  • Develop and sustain employee commitment and engagement with the proposed changes and new ways of working.
Course outline:

The online workshop is designed to be interactive, blending change management theory with practical day-to-day examples and participant contributions and group discussions. It will utilise all the best online tools including breakout rooms and polls.

The main focus is on how to plan and implement change while continuing to operate 24/7. It will cover the 4 levers that you can use to quickly and effectively plan and implement new working practices and norms. It will explore how to manage the human aspects of change i.e. the emotions and embed the new ways of working. It will share the 5 steps to overcoming resistance to change, how to best influence opinions and sustain employee commitment.

Emerging from Covid-19 the businesses that adapt to market developments and change quickly enough will be the most successful.
