Overview:

Excel Essentials for Business is a brand new course for 2019 developed in partnership with one of our specialist training partners.
If you use Excel regularly at work, have not had any formal training on it and are keen to learn how to use it more effectively then this full day workshop is ideal for you. 

Training is delivered in a friendly, informal and highly interactive way.  There are no tedious workbooks to trawl through during this course.  The content of the session is developed and delivered to suite the specific needs of each participant.  With clear instruction and demonstrations from the trainer and supplementary take away ‘Cheat Sheets’, you’ll return to the office with a host of new skills that you’ll be able to utilise straight away.

Who should attend?

Anyone who uses Excel as part of their job and who would like to learn how to get maximum benefit from it.  Everyone who wants to learn how to become more organized and learn how to handle accounting/budgeting/financial data.

Learning Outcomes:
  • How to create, organise and format simple and more complex spreadsheets
  • Understanding basic and advanced calculations using formulae and functions removing the need for manual calculations
  • Visualise and present data through the creation of stunning charts and graphs

Course Director:

Lina Poka has built a successful marketing career in Toronto, Canada before moving to Edinburgh and holds a BBA & an MBA from the prestigious Schulich School of Business of York University in Toronto.

Having operated and managed her own marketing and consulting company and held senior roles for many years in other businesses, Lina has become expert in the use of Excel for business. She is hugely passionate about data and digital marketing and is a highly experienced and well respected trainer.
