This advanced practical and interactive workshop focuses on teaching delegates how to harness the full power, tools and features of LinkedIn and Twitter, helping them create a step change and increase in customer engagement and lead generation for their businesses. 

The course covers how to create a coherent strategic content calendar, develop key campaign messages, accelerate engagement; better understand platform context and the specific techniques that should be used for LinkedIn and Twitter. 

A review of paid media options, i.e. promoted posts, traffic driving ads, remarketing and lead generation ads will be covered during the workshop as well as how to integrate with other marketing channels including email, newsletters, blogs and website content.  Time will also be spent interpreting platform analytics and metrics, in particular the performance of paid and free campaigns.   

Handling incidents (trolls & more), management of a crisis and businesses reputation and how to use social media to deliver and / or enhance customer service are key features covered during the workshop.

Course Director:

Digital Marketing Director and Planner for web based marketing and communication company Social Tailor. Colin has been working in digital marketing and advertising since 2001. In 2005 he worked on Myspace pages for EMI and Universal Records. 

Colin created a world first in social media by developing a social network that alleviated traffic congestion and in 2008 went on to develop Facebook applications for Trip Advisor.  In 2009 he spent time in Las Vegas with Zappos.com, he developed a Twitter tool called Tweetabits: the location based, lead generator for business. Since 2010 Colin has been delivering social media strategy, content planning and advertising as well as providing ‘War Room’ project management for incidents on social media.


Colin helps take and develop your understanding of social media to another level. He works to evolve your thinking to ensure you understand the depth and breadth of social media, how it can work for you, against you and how you should manage it.
