Travel Package – We are pulling together a package to offer to companies which could include return flights to China, internal flights, internal transfers and accommodation. Our numbers will dictate the cost so we need to secure interest first.

Subvention – is possible for some companies, again we need to know who is interested in participating.

Participating Chinese companies – The Chinese authorities and support organisations will ‘match’ Scottish companies with Chinese companies. These details will be provided to our companies within several weeks of the actual event.

Information required – when companies notify their interest we will mail a short questionnaire to them to find out if they currently export to China, if they have market contacts, what products or services they are trying to place in the market, what sector they are focused on, and what level of export knowledge they have,

Prior to the event SDI will run a ‘Market Awareness Session’ for all participating companies. This will cover

–          Culture

–          Business negotiation

–          Business etiquette

–          Preparation for meeting a Chines company

–          How business works in China

–          Guest speakers who are operating in the market

–          Case studies

–          Q&A

–          1:1’s with SDI staff and presenters
