Three Scottish lawyers promoted to Partner at international law firm Pinsent Masons

Posted: 6th April 2026

Multinational law firm Pinsent Masons has announced this year’s partner promotions, with 23 lawyers set to join the firm’s global partnership.

This year’s partner cohort spans all major practice groups and reflects strong alignment with the firm’s global strategy, showcasing continued strategic investment across the firm’s global platform, with 16 new partners based in the UK, five across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and two in Asia Pacific.

Edinburgh-based Kirstyn Gleeson and Glasgow colleagues Natalie Colaluca and Stuart Newlands and are included in the 23-strong promoted group, while five Scottish-based lawyers have been promoted to Legal Director.

Kirstyn Gleeson advises financial institutions, borrowers and investors across all aspects of financing work, working from the firm’s office at Capital Square office in Morrison Street. Natalie Colaluca specialises in banking, restructuring and insolvency issues and Stuart Newlands focuses on property and real estate relating to renewable energy and infrastructure projects.

Three Edinburgh-based lawyers – Sheena Bryson, Andrew Fleming and Alistair Wood – have been promoted to Legal Director.

Pinsent Masons’ Chair of Scotland, Katharine Hardie, said: “This round of partner promotions emphasises the continued importance of our energy expertise in Scotland as a key driver of the firm’s growth. With the Scottish and UK governments setting out ambitious plans for their net zero ambitions, there is significant opportunity for our newly promoted partners and legal directors to support clients investing in and capitalising on that transition.

“Our promotions in financial services likewise reflect our ongoing focus on advising banks, lenders and financial institutions as they navigate increasingly challenging economic headwinds.”

The promotions also demonstrate alignment with the firm’s ambition to be advising clients at the forefront of the forces shaping our world, making up nine partners across our Energy and Infrastructure sectors and six partners in our Financial Services sector.

Senior Partner at Pinsent Masons, Andrew Masraf, said: “As we develop a truly global business in both outlook and operations, this year’s promotions show the strength, ambition and diversity of talent we have across the firm.

“Each new partner brings deep technical excellence, commitment to collaboration, and the ability to help clients navigate their most complex challenges amidst fast changing global markets. I am proud to welcome them to the partnership as we continue to grow an ambitious, inclusive and internationally connected firm.”
