The Yard – A Place of Belonging
Edinburgh based charity, The Yard, has been helping disabled children and young people for the past 35 years. Children going to The Yard feel a sense of belonging where they can have fun and explore their full potential. It is not just the young people visiting The Yard who feel the benefit of their award-winning services, as their parents have a space free from judgement where everyone they meet comes from a place of kindness and understanding.
None of this life enhancing work would be possible without the support of fundraising, which is why The Yard is currently looking to employ a new Grants Officer as well as a new Community and Events Officer. Both of these positions are vital to the longevity of The Yard and their ability to continue their transformative work.
The Grants Officer will be there to generate income by implementing an effective fundraising strategy, with a strong link to the income streams required to bring in grants e.g., trusts and foundations, statutory, council and lottery. Day to day, the Grants Officer will be writing funding applications and researching new opportunities and then writing up reports.
The Community and Events Officer will focus on community and events fundraising, which includes the annual Big Fun Raiser Ball. The implementation of an effective fundraising strategy is a crucial element of this role, with a focus on garnering funds from the general public in a range of creative and exciting methods.
If either of these positions sound like an exciting next step in your career, and if the remarkable work carried out every single day by The Yard speaks to you, then get in touch with Bruce Tait Associates to request further information on 01786 542 224 or email@example.com.
